A Soft silicone insert for smaller size nipples to use Breast Pump.
The standard size breastshield that comes with breast pumps is 24mm, though for some women with smaller nipples the 24mm standard is too big and causes pumping to be uncomfortable with too much areola being drawn in. Having the right size breastshield (or using an insert to adapt a breastshield) can make pumping more comfortable and efficient.
We've been able to source this little insert which will help mothers with smaller size nipples. This silicone insert can be used with Unimom breast pump flanges, to give you a smaller tunnel opening. (Watch the Video Tab to see).
Available in 13mm, 14mm, 15mm, 16mm, 17mm, 19mm, 21mm and 24mm size.
*Note that the 13 - 17mm are made from a thinner clear silicone than the 19 - 24mm due to manufacturing requirements.

These are suitable for use with Breastmates, Unimom, Medela, Avent, Tommee Tippee, Spectra pumps.
They cannot be used in addition to a massage cushion.

Pumping should not hurt. For maximum comfort and pumping efficiency, find the correct breast shield sizes available to suit all women. This guide below is a starting point, to help you determine your optimal shield size based on your nipple diameter.
Step One:This can be difficult, but use a ruler or measuring tape, to get the diameter of your nipple at base (across the middle), do NOT include areola. Measure in mm. Please refer to diagram below.
Tip: Use a piece of string to go around the circumference of your nipple base. Then measure this against a ruler. Apply some maths : circumference divided by PIE (3.1417) will give you the diameter.
Where to measure your nipple. Across the base. NOT the areola.
Step Two:Based on your diameter measurement, add 3-4mm to find the correct size, if your nipple size measures 17mm diameter, the recommended Breast Shield size is 21mm.

Cannot recommend these enough. Was battling with the standard size pump inserts and found it so painful. Finally realised you can buy inserts and correct sizing and it has been a game changer. Made pumping so much less painful and better output. These fit into the Medela shields nicely (I find they fit best in 24mm shield). Highly recommend.

Fantastic product
I have brought 17, 15mm inserts as I struggle with elastic nipples and needed the one closest to nipple size which was the 15mm. I had already brought a new nipple flange with the milkbar pump and then after realizing that I just needed a silcone insert was easy to sort. Very fast shipping and great quality.

Game changers
Have used to correct sizing of “one size fits all” Phillips Avent dual electric pump. Has made all the difference to pumping, using the pump as is was causing damage to my nipples as flange too large and needing smaller sizes for my two different sized nipples. Inserts fit well & true to size

Great extra item to adapt flanges
I purchased 2 inserts a few months after daily weekday expressing while at work as the 19mm medela flanges that had been working well were no longer a small enough size to sufficiently help express my milk.
I found these inserts fit best into the 24mm medela flex fit shields, and have helped to improve the pumping experience for me.
