Breastmates is the Online Top Shop
Amongst the glitz and the glamour of a sell-out
event at the Pavilion in Hamilton Gardens on Wednesday night,
Breastmates Maternity, was announced as Waikato's Online TOP
SHOP®.

Retailers Association Northern Regional Manager said "The sheer
quality and quantity of this year's finalists had made it a very
difficult task for the judges. The overall standard was very high
and all finalists should congratulate themselves on making the
finals."
For the first time, Online Stores were able to enter the awards,
with their own category of Online Retailing. Websites were mystery
shopped, and tested for ease of website use, clear information and
pricing, clear delivery costs, enquiry response time, order
confirmation and emails, delivery promise, and overall
satisfaction.
Breastmates (www.breastmates.co.nz) a
website managed by Frances McInnes from Cambridge, took the online
title.
When accepting the trophy, Mrs McInnes said, "I started my
business from scratch 6 years ago, and have grown it slowly over
time to provide a huge range of maternity and motherhood products.
I've upgraded the website along the way to make shopping easier for
customers, so its really nice to see it acknowledged at these
awards. We were actually installing a major website upgrade at the
same time the Top Shop Awards opened - so things probably weren't
as seamless as usual!"
Sinclair said it was the retailers who concentrated on excellent
service and presentation, which covered many of the finalists in
the TOP SHOP® awards, who would gain a competitive edge in this
very tight market. They would gain the necessary market share which
they would maintain when the inevitable upturn occurs.
